Doug Mientkiewicz has earned a reputation as one of the best defensive first baseman in baseball during his years in the big leagues with the Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, New York Mets and Kansas City Royals. He earned a Gold Glove Award in 2001 while with the Twins and not only won a World Series Championship in 2004 while with the Red Sox, but recorded the last out in Game Four of the Sox' sweep over the St. Louis Cardinals.
